congratulations

... to the Hackney junior students who finished learning the postures of the Short Form yesterday. We will be recapping this until Christmas, for those who were away last night. In the New Year we will go back to the start and look in much greater detail, including working on all the applications together. Well done for your good work, keen interest and concentration.
A mixture of Short and Long Form students last night holding 'Crossing Hands'.

Well done also to the senior students who began study last night on 'whole body method', rather than 'torso method' (to use the classical terms). Over the following year we'll be exploring arch and tuck, rippling our movements and allowing the ground force to travel more freely through our bodies, now that we are sure we can trust our good basic posture. We are working on what Mark began to introduce over the Summer and October workshops.

Finally well done to the weapons group for finishing learning the postures of the Sword Form and beginning working on applications of the Sabre Form. It's going to be an exciting year of T'ai Chi ahead at the Round Chapel. Last night flew by.
