Aberdeenshire workshops

This month's workshops with Caroline are this coming weekend 30th June to 2nd July.

The Weapons session is at Fetternear Hall at the earlier start time of 6:30pm
Saturday afternoon will be at outside at Scott's place in Inverurie weather permitting so please check the blog on Saturday morning for an update! All other workshops are at Balvack.
Great River students of any level are particularly welcome to the Saturday sessions.

Friday 6:30-9:30pm: Weapons, including Sabre for beginners 6:30-7:30  (£5).
Saturday 1-4pm: Short Form, and related study
Saturday 5.30-8.30pm: Partnerwork
Sunday 1-4pm: Long Form
Sunday 5.30-8.30pm: Advanced Studies and Dance

The price is £16 (concs available) per 3 hr session. Please bring food to share on Saturday and Sunday. Get in touch with your instructor if you need travel directions or feel free to contact me with any other questions.

Autumn terms, Inverurie and Turriff

Both the Inverurie and Turriff classes will restart on Monday 22nd August.

The Inverurie class is 3:30-5pm at Port Elphinstone Community House, 1 Pinewood House (enter by the back of the building).
The Turriff class is 6:30-8pm (to 8:30 for Long Form students) at the Gateway Centre, behind the swimming pool. Please note we'll be in the Craft Room for this term.

The price for each class is £9 per week or £7 concession. Discounts are available for paying in 6-week blocks.

Both classes are open to total beginners and returners will also be very welcome. Please get in touch if you need any further information.

Inverurie and Turriff classes

Monday 11th July is the last week of term for the Inverurie and Turriff classes.  Both will restart on Monday 22nd August at the usual times and places  and will be open to new beginners as well as returners. I'll put more details on the blog nearer the time.

No Inverurie or Turriff class this week

There are no classes at Inverurie or Turriff this week, 13th June. Classes will be at the normal time and place on 20th June and the last week of term is Monday 11th July.

Both classes restart this week, 9th May, at the usual times and places. Paolo will be taking the class while I'm away.  I'll be back on Monday 16th.

There will be no classes at Inverurie or Turriff from the 18th April to 2nd May. Both classes will restart at the usual times and places on Monday 9th May.

Inverurie and Turriff classes - Spring Break

Both the Inverurie and Turriff classes will continue until Monday 11th April. There will be a break from 18th April until 2nd May.  Classes will restart on 9th May at the usual times & venues.

Inverurie Short Form class

Assuming that roads and venues are OK following the flooding, the Inverurie class will restart on Monday 11th January 3:30-5pm. We'll be in our new venue: Port Elphinstone Community House, 1 Pinewood House (enter by the back of the building).

Inverurie and Turriff classes

Today is the last week of term at Inverurie and Turriff. I'd like to thank all the students, old and new, for all their enthusiasm, support and good questions. Both classes will restart on Monday 11th January at the usual times. Total beginners will be welcome to join either class in the New Year.

I'm pleased to say that thanks to Scott we've got a new venue for the Inverurie class. From January we'll be at the Port Elphinstone Community House. Click  here for more info on the venue and how to find it: it's on the main bus route into Inverurie and there is parking available nearby. Unfortunately the price will need to go up a little to cover the increased cost. I will post more details about both classes nearer the time.

 I hope you all have a happy and restful festive season.

Inverurie venue needed

The Inverurie class is going to have to move to a new location from the New Year. I'm going to ask round the places we've used before to see if there is a room available for Monday afternoons.
But if you know of any good - and reasonably cheap! - options then please let me know.

There will be no classes at Inverurie and Turriff on Monday 2nd November. On the 9th and 16th November I will be away so Paolo has kindly agreed to take both classes on those dates. I'll be back at class on Monday 26th November.

The Monymusk class will restart Tuesday 25th August. Inverurie and Turriff classes will restart Monday 7th September. All will be open to new beginners as well as returners. More details will be published nearer the time.
