I'll be teaching in Gothenburg, we will also do Heartwork at the same time. That will be fun, only the North Sea and a bit of land to reach across, no problem.

Dance session next Sunday - Venue Change

There is a workshop on The Dance on Sunday 29th April 2-5pm, at the studio near Hampton Court, not at the usual hall, as numbers were not sufficient. All who are already studying the Dance at whatever level are welcome to come along. £20, 2-5pm.

Aberdeenshire Thursdays

Thursday sessions will restart at Monymusk Hall on 17th August. In the meantime if anyone fancies some practice to revise / share what we studied at the intensive you'd be welcome to come round to Balvack on Thursday evenings or Sunday afternoons.

Aberdeenshire Sunday 30th August

This Sunday's drop-in session will be at Anneke & Neil's place in Finzean from 2-5pm. If the weather stays dry and (hopefully) sunny then we'll work outside. Get in touch if you need directions.

Aberdeenshire Sunday 16th August

"I'm having a Tai Chi session outdoors at my house just outside Inverurie this Sunday starting around 2 pm until about 5 pm. Please feel free to come along if you fancy it. As its outdoors its weather dependant  so lets hope its fine and sunny. I'm sure it will be.
Let me know if your coming and I will send directions to my place if you haven't been previously.
Also, If anyone fancies coming along beforehand for a guided meditation and / or Auricular Acupuncture please let me know. Probably do this around 12 .15 / 30 pm if anyone fancies it."

Aberdeenshire Thursdays

Our regular practise sessions at Monymusk Hall will restart on 20th August. In the meantime the Thursday group or anyone who was at the summer Intensive is welcome to come along to Balvack from 7pm on Thursdays to play.
There will also be sessions most Sundays from 2pm open to any Great River students. Most will be at Balvack or if we're at another venue I'll post the details here on the blog.

T'ai Chi today

Today's Aberdeenshire drop-in session is at Anneke and Neil's place. All welcome from 2pm onwards.
Classes are taking a break but there will be a drop-in session most Sundays over the summer. Or get in touch if you fancy meeting up for some T'ai Chi any other time.

2014 Sunday sessions in London

Here are the dates for the 2014 Sunday sessions, 2-5pm at St Mary Magdalene Church Hall, as usual, £20, tea provided. All welcome except complete beginners to all sessions, just ask Mark if you'd like to come along for the first time. A couple of the dates may be subject to revision if the church needs the hall, but so far so good, I am delighted we have dates for most months. We may have a venue for extra sessions on the months when we cannot have St M's. I will post here as soon as I know more. I will follow the rotation we already have for Staff, Sword , Sabre, Heartwork (which may also include Heartwork partnerwork, One Posture, sensitivity training.), Power (which may include pressing and firing, rooting, rippling, uprooting, dragon walk, etc.) All weapons sessions will include solo form and partnerwork. If there is a session you really want to come to but can't, we may be able to swap the topics around, so just get in touch. We need 8 folks per session to make it really work for Mark, and we had great sessions this year. If you need any help so that you can come along, let me know. Also, if you'd like a session on another topic not covered (say: talu and wabu, or push hands, long form, or whatever), get in touch, as if you can get 8 people together, we can book Mark and the Hall.

Sunday T'ai Chi

We had a lovely day of T'ai Chi yesterday. Thanks to Anneke and Neil for their hospitality and to everyone for the delicious food.

Sunday Taichi at Finzean tomorrow

This Sunday (tomorrow!) Taichi will be at Anneke & Neil's place in Finzean. Hopefully the weather will be good so we can work outside. You're welcome to stay for something to eat afterwards.

'Yellow pages' dates typo correction

On the 'yellow pages' events dates sheets that I have been handing out at classes, the date for the December London Sunday Power workshop is wrongly listed as 6th and should instead read 1st December. Please amend your diaries!
