In 2011 for the first time the Intensive will be at Hampton, near London, rather than in Aberdeenshire. The week runs from 2pm on 16th July to 10pm on 22nd. There will also be Talu etc on Friday 15th evening, at 7pm. Exact price is not yet set, but it will probably be £35 per day, and £18 for each half day (concessions available). Mark's sessions will run 2-5pm and 6.30-9.30pm, but as most folks know, this can sometimes be 10pm... We will bring food to share each day, and there are tea and coffee facilities there, as well as hobs to heat food up. I will try to get hold of a baby belling for the week as well. There are good cafes nearby but as the river is 2 metres outside the back door, with a south view, sitting in the sun with a plate of salad watching the Thames go by, will likely taste good anyway.
If any London folks will be able to put up students travelling from Scotland, South Africa, Sweden or where ever, please let me know in the New Year, (we traditionally give £5 per night donation). There is ample parking a hundred metres from the venue, the buses from Hampton, Kingston and Richmond stop at the door. The Hampton Rail station is a 12 minute walk away. I will look up local B&Bs and boats to stay on in the New Year.
The minimum requirements to come along are having double pushing hands, both Salutations, and at least half the Short Form, with a willingness to busk all of it. Anyone who really wants to come but doesn't feel they have that yet, can easily get ready by July. If I can help, let me know.
Please do get in touch with queries, but get the dates in your diary now, as it will be wonderful if everyone can come along and make this a wonderful week of T'ai Chi fellowship.
