Summer Sostice

Happy solstice to all. Though it's rainy and dark here in London, I am very happy, as the garden is lush and today I will pick the first peas and broad beans for a summer risotto tonight. The drought measures haven't quite hit Greater London, but all rain is welcome, I feel. Much as a bright sunny longest day is delightful, there is something mysterious and milky in the light today, uniquely British Isles-ish, which as I get older, I appreciate more. May you all have a fruitful longest day and a peaceful shortest night.
