Samhain

Hope your evening is fine and peaceful. Here there are many carved pumkins dotted around the place and children dressed as very happy ghouls. I am making pie followed by pie, which I am told is very auspicious.

Here's my usual festival lamp made from clay I dug this spring, fired in a bonfire. Tonight it's burning sunflower oil, and the wick is the thick cotton string handles you get on posh shops' paper carriers.
