Australia

“I don't know why we are here, but I'm pretty sure that it is not in order to enjoy ourselves.”
Ludwig Wittgenstein

I just had a great meet-up with Iain McGilchrist, and we saw the RA show Australia which included the wonderful oil painting below, as well as stupendously good work by Dorothy Napangardi, probably some of the greatest non-figurative paintings I have ever seen, one shown below. Over lunch Iain quoted Wittgenstein (above), and added, that once you've got that understood, you can, of course, really enjoy yourself... Thanks to Iain for a truly heartening morning.
