I am off to Dorset to stand with my back to the sea and do lots of Back Heart Salutations, eat venison (from the wonderful Mortlach Game) and celebrate the longest day with a wee dram later. Even at the far southern extreme of the mainland British island, I try to bring a few of my Scottish habits along. Besides, woman cannot live by cream teas and cider alone. I shall be up next week to enjoy the delight of the long light evenings we get in Aberdeenshire at this time of year.
Seems like quite a few T'ai Chi students and buddies are having changeable times right now, or just plain challenging times. I hope the extra hours of light and this year's wonderfully lush plant-life will act as a pick-me-up, and that we all gain the strength and settled minds we need to navigate things without going under. Special good wishes to all those of my T'ai Chi family who are grieving, feeling frazzled or overwhelmed. Do something lovely today: boost your level of 'inner dolphins' (endorphins).
Here's some lovely photos of Aberdeenshire stone circles used with kind permission from the folks at www.megalithics.com.
