The Noble Art of the Sword

I went to see this  yesterday (before it closes on Sunday). David and his rennaisance pugilist pals went there for a special event, and said it was wonderful, and they were right. What an amazing place... At least 5 Rembrandts, the 'Laughing Cavalier' - amazing in the flesh, and so many incredible arms, objets d'arts set in superb rooms. I shall return with Sam Masich next month, as he has a great interest in historical pugilism, as well as loving great art.
On 15th September there will be a 'Swordplay Saturday: a day in the 16th Century, free and open 10am-5pm.

Difficult, as the Great River Race, the Thames Marathon, will be on the same day...

And I already plan to get out of town and go mushrooming and fruit picking, assuming we have a shower or two in the next week to produce the fungi.
