The
Hal Company presents
Still
Small Voice
By
Danusia Iwaszko
A
play about self-belief, perseverance and courage. Trusting herself
when all men doubted her, Margaret Kemp fought In the 1950’s to
keep open the Quaker House in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. Convinced
that the house and her beloved faith would be needed for the future,
she staged a virtual sit-in, sometimes under an umbrella as there
were holes in the roof where the rain came in. This touching tale of
one woman’s trust in her still small voice, inspires us all to keep
the faith.
Performed
in that very Meeting House, The Hal Company will bring to life this
story with their usual vibrant style of theatre, music and song.
Entertaining and inspiring, this is a play not to be missed.
