Good technology

I am very pleased with the new service Countdown from TfL that tells you when buses will arrive at a bus stop. You type in a five figure code (all London bus stops now have them) and either text the number to Tfl or on a smartphone, just type it into the app, and a list of bus numbers and waiting times comes up, the accuracy is excellent. I can now shelter in shops, or wait in my lounge in the warm, rather than shiver throughout the Winter cursing at missing the bus. As I don't drive, and spend a large amount of time on public transport, this is a really lovely simple tech-based improvement to my quality of life.
