preserving
If you live in London and can spare me any of these (empty jars from Bonne Maman jams and preserves), I'd be very grateful. Jam season is approaching, swiftly followed by chutney season, and I am detemined not to make too little again this year, as going without sticky chutney for my cheese right now really irks. This morning I am making marmalade from oranges and lemons I froze in February. Due to the hot dry spring, I think I have blown it as regards making elderflower codial, as I forgot to pick. It's usually this week that I make it, but the flowers are all finished. If the Aberdeenshire students know of any trees I can pick next weekend, please let me know. I only need 2 carrier bags full.
