The Triumph of the Machine

Yesterday I heard the naturalist Simon King on the radio introducing many of his favourite writings on With Great Pleasure . There were many excellent choices, as you would hope from a man who sits very still and quietly, listening to the natural world, just to 'get to work in the morning'. The final poem moved me greatly, so pertinent was it to my life, as well as the work and reading we are all doing at the moment. It is by DH Lawrence, from 1932, and I have put a link to the full text here.
