I always thought carpet bags only existed in musicals and kid's stories. Today I had a lino fitted in my kitchen, and the fitter had an actual carpet bag for his tools, made of real red carpet. He said it was falling apart a bit, and he'd make a new one over the break. He was chuffed when I took a picture. Inexplicably, I really covet it.
