New
Yang Style Long Form Classes
From
this October there will be a new Yang Style Long Form session, where
we will also cover warm-ups, partner work, push hands, Chi Kung,
ta lu, wabu, and other related studies as time permits. All
ages and levels are welcome except complete beginners. You will need
to have studied T'ai Chi for about a year, have similar experience in
another art, or be very willing and able to jump in and learn! We
emphasise applications, softness, a quiet mind and natural
movement.
Long Form instruction will begin at 7pm, from 6pm beginners are also present and we practise warm-ups and Short Form. (You are encouraged to join in with these, but if you need to arrive any time from 6-7pm due to commitments, that's fine too.) Traditional Jasmine tea is served to the students at 8pm, and you are welcome to stay after this and busk along with a whole Long Form at 8.15pm, when we begin the advanced session.
