Taichi Class in Cults starts again on Tuesday 3rd of September

The new session of Taichi in Cults begins on Tuesday 3rd September at The Kindergarten, Aberdeen Waldorf School, Craigton Road, Cults. The class is from 5.30-7.00 and from 7.00-7.30pm there is time for more partnerwork. The class is for beginners as well as more advanced students.

£40 for a block of 5 classes or £9 per class and concessions are available. Try out a class at any time. Contact Neil for more information.

This coming Sunday's session Taichi will be at Neil &Anneke in Finzean.
You are welcome to stay fo something to eat afterwards.

London update - no class Tuesday 3rd September

Mark's first Tuesday class of the new term (3rd September) has been cancelled as the hall refurbishment has not been finished. Tuesday classes will restart 10th September.
The Thursday class will restart on 5th September as planned.
Please let your fellow students know.

Aberdeenshire workshops

The next Aberdeenshire workshops with Caroline are on Friday 6th to Sunday 8th September. There will be the usual mix of sessions at Fetternear Hall (Friday) and Balvack (Saturday & Sunday).

The Autumn intensive with Mark will be at Fetternear Hall 5-7th October, warming up with a weapons session on Friday 4th. Please let me know if you need information or help with travel, or if you're visiting and would like to staty with one of the local students.
All 121s with Mark are now booked: I'll be in touch to finalise days and times with everyone.

Turriff Short Form, including beginners

The Turriff Short Form class restarts next week. The term will run from 26th August to 30th September, 7-8:30pm Monday at the Gateway Centre next to the swimming pool. The price is £42 (£30 concession) for 6 weeks. If paying weekly, the fees are £9 (£6).

The class is open to returners and new students will also be very welcome. No experience is necessary, just wear loose comfy clothes and flat shoes.

The Slow Coach

I only caught a snippet of this programme on Radio 4 today, but the little I heard on the  effects of mindfulness sounded very interesting. It's available to listen again for the next 7 days.

I have just been ordering outdoor gear I need for a forthcoming coastal forage on the West coast of Scotland and was recommended to take a look at Leaf Trading Post by Ben from Woodsmoke. It's lovely.

Whilst away my Hotmail email addresses were hacked, which until now I had used with no problems for 16 years! I do apologise if you have had any spam apparently sent by me. It wasn't. I have filled in online forms and now have my emails back under my ownership as of Saturday 1am. Phew.

In other news: I have recently inherited 14 million pounds but cannot move it out of the country. If someone would just like to send me a deposit of £500,000... :)

Thanks to Anna for organising the 5th annual weekend of T'ai Chi and Yoga on the Swedish coast. I had a wonderful time with a lovely group of people in beautiful surroundings.

Thursday Long Form and Weapons - August to October

Here's the rota for the next block of sessions at Monymusk. We'll be in the Small Hall 7-9pm and Large Hall 9-10pm, except on 15th August when we're in the Large Hall all evening. The cost is £25 for 10 weeks or £4/week.

Monymusk Class

A new term of classes will start this evening, Tuesday 6th August,
7-9pm, Monymusk Village Hall.
Cost is £50 per 5-week block.
New students welcome.
Classes will run weekly until December 2013.

Hackney Summer Practice

During the Summer break I'll be heading to the circle of trees in Millfields Park at 6pm every Wednesday to meet up for a practice session. Everyone is welcome and if anyone is up for working on sabre, sword or staff bring your weapons!

We had a lovely day of T'ai Chi yesterday. Thanks to Anneke and Neil for their hospitality and to everyone for the delicious food.

This Sunday (tomorrow!) Taichi will be at Anneke & Neil's place in Finzean. Hopefully the weather will be good so we can work outside. You're welcome to stay for something to eat afterwards.
