Ingrid Graz's entry into Cambridge University's Department of Engineering annual photography competition. The microscope image shows polymethylsiloxane being mixed with a curing agent. The liquid polymer produces this butterfly-wing effect in the process. Graz's field is stretchable electronics.

Thanks to Davina for this image from BBC website.

This week's workshops with my wonderful students in Scotland were equally rich, beautiful and rewarding. I send best wishes to all who came to the classes, and my congratulations to those who finished learning the postures of the Northern Sabre Form, and the Yang Style Long Form. In London, groups also finished the Northern Sabre and the Short Form, well done! Keep practising over the summer, little and often is good rather than lots once a month...

All students are welcome to email with queries anytime. If I don't have the answer, I know a man who does.
