New Classes

New beginner students are welcome at both my Hackney and Tooting classes in London from 18th September, please email me for details.

New beginners are welcome at the Inverurie class on a Wednesday, call the GEC on 01467 620353.

New 121 students are welcome to begin from 3rd september.

Thursday Inverurie Class

...will now be at Heather's place. Heather has generously offered for the Thursday Long Form class to be there from September, when it would have returned to the Garioch Centre. She suggested a couple of pounds donation per week towards tea and heating and lighting. I will help organise the format of the class and make a few suggestions when I am back up (in less than a month!) The Wednesday night class often has new beginners and will continue via Adult Ed at Inverurie Academy.

Northern lights

Thanks to my student Kevin who kindly sent this beautiful picture he took of the Northern Lights, from Greenland, I think. He has been away for a while on expeditions as well as due to work.

Introduction to Shiatsu workshop

Great River T'ai Chi student and Shiatsu teacher Neil Dey MRSS(T) will be teaching an introduction to Shiatsu on Saturday 25th August 10am - 4pm at Yoga Studio, 42 Union Terrace, Aberdeen. All are welcome. You can ring him on 01330 850675 for more details. I often have treatments from Neil as he is the best practitioner of Shiatsu I have encountered. Students and friends have also recommended his workshops very highly.

Thanks to Mark again for a wonderful 5 days of T'ai Chi, rooting, Heartwork, softening and joining. Mark and I were really pleased with how everyone's T'ai Chi progressed. Missing from the photo is Ali, who had to work that day. Thanks again to Heather for hospitality and to all the students for the great food. It was lovely to have two of my London students join us too.
Students who could not travel to London easily had asked if I could invite Steven Moore up to teach. Steven taught from Thursday to Saturday, many thanks for his time and energy.

Isabella


My new niece Isabella, born Monday at 2.11am to my brother and his wonderful wife Tania, (also one of Mark's T'ai Chi students). I met her today, she is tiny, around 5 pounds, and just gorgeous. She loves being held whilst we do figure eights with our hips, which may be due to Tania having done T'ai Chi for almost all the pregnancy. Welcome into the world Bella!
